The View, Cleeve Hill An exclusive development of contemporary homes with spectacular views

Spectacular panoramic views from the highest point in the Cotswolds

Cheltenham: The Local Area

Cleeve Hill is the highest point in the Cotswolds at 330 metres above sea level. It is one of the UK's ‘Sites of Special Scientific Interest' and is the largest enclosed “wold" in the Cotswolds.

The area at the top, known as Cleeve Common, was largely agricultural for hundreds of years, however Cheltenham's boom as a fashionable spa resort in the 19th century meant that the open spaces of the nearby Common became attractive for recreation.

Horse racing began at nearby Nottingham Hill in 1815 and relocated to Cleeve Hill a few years later where it continued until 1831, when Cheltenham Racecourse found its current home at Prestbury Park.

There was a figure-of-eight race track and grandstand close to where the radio masts are situated today. Whilst the first golf course opened on the Common in 1891 and a course remains here among the somewhat rugged terrain, golfers have to sometimes compete with the highland cattle and grazing sheep that roam the area.

However, if you don't want to tackle the short climb to the Common you can take a stroll to the renowned Rising Sun Inn just a few minutes down the road for more a relaxed experience but still with a spectacular view.

The View, Cleeve Hill is located on the Cleeve Hill escarpment providing it with far reaching views across the Malvern and Welsh hills. Located a short distance from the Spa Town of Cheltenham which has recently been voted as the “top place to live" by both the Sunday Times and The Telegraph newspapers. The View, Cleeve Hill benefits from an outstanding rural panoramic aspect but with the convenience of a location adjacent to a beautiful but well connected Spa Town.

As the centre of the Cotswolds, Cheltenham is a beautiful and prosperous town with notable Regency architecture reflecting its heritage. Cheltenham is a superb place for shopping with an abundance of main high street shops, specialist boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

There are excellent sporting facilities, an extensive selection of high achieving Public and State schools and of course the town is the host to the Cheltenham Gold Cup horse racing festival, probably the most famous of the its regular festival events, including but not limited to the Jazz, Literature, Music and Science Festivals.

Designed with the view in mind

The View, Cleeve Hill offers the rare opportunity to live in a fabulous new home set within the most enviable position.

Located on the Cleeve Hill escarpment, these four contemporary homes are beautifully situated and thoughtfully designed. In the most desirable location this exclusive gated development has been created using some of the latest building techniques.

Each property is set across three floors offering a flexible arrangement of living space and maximising the stunning view. An elevator has also been incorporated into the design for ease of access to all floors.

Open plan living space

You enter on the top floor into a large open plan kitchen/breakfast room, glass fronted with bi-fold doors leading to a generous balcony. There is also a cloakroom and laundry room on this floor.

The feature staircase leads down to the open plan living/dining area, again with a spacious balcony for outdoor entertaining. On this floor there is the flexibility to add either a media room or an additional bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

Landscaped garden

The main sleeping area is on the lower floor where, depending on the plot, you will find either three or four double bedrooms, two with en-suites and the master bedroom with a spacious dressing room.

Two of the bedrooms open out onto the beautifully landscaped garden which can be accessed from all floors via a series of steps to one side of the property.

In essence, The View, Cleeve Hill is designed with the view in mind - large glass doors open on to a balcony or patio on each floor providing you with exclusive access to one of Gloucestershire's most enviable views.
